Corporate event photography at the Science Museum in London

It’s always interesting photographing events at the Science Museum in London, and this one was no exception. The evening saw the launch of the Alan Turing exhibition (“Codebreaker – Alan Turing’s Life and Legacy“), which runs until the end of July 2013. The exhibition includes an early example of an Enigma machine, whose code was famously cracked by Turing and his colleagues at Bletchley Park. It’s definitely worth a look if you get the chance. This was a nice event to photograph – a mixture of reportage and people photography as well as a few requisite shots of speakers and groups. Technically speaking, this sort of thing benefits best when bounced flash shots are mixed up with some high-iso available light shots (the trusty Nikon D3 is great for this) to help capture the atmosphere of the event. And where better than a museum for interesting lighting…
