A service that’s proving very popular is on-site printing, where we use the latest in dye-sublimation printer technology to create professional-quality prints on the spot at events. We can also create bespoke photo folders or mounts printed with the event details. These can make a great memento for guests – for example, we work at golf days where we shoot teams as they tee-off. The guests are then each presented with a photo of their team during lunch, mounted in a heavyweight embossed card photo folder. For another client we photograph tables of guests at their annual awards ceremony, and then prepare these to be ready for the guests’ departure at the end of the evening. One of our more unusual tasks was to photograph 500 people as they entered a club – we then printed each one out, then created a face-mask from the print that people picked up when they arrived at a silent disco!
In terms of format, we can produce various print sizes, including 6″x9″ (a popular format as it’s a full-frame SLR ratio of 2:3 so doesn’t require any image cropping and, at around A5 format tends to be ‘about right’ size-wise, neither too big nor too small), as well as 5″x7″ and 6″x4″. It takes around 10 seconds for the machine to produce a print, so we can print large quantities in a short space of time.
